Launch Day: But Did You Die?

How many times have you said to yourself, when thinking back on all of the crazy you experienced growing up: how the heck did I make it this far in life?

Today there are so many rules: rules on how babies should sleep, rules on how we should talk to our children, rules on the “right” things to do, rules on when and how to feed your children, and on, and on, and on.

It’s maddening. And let’s face it: one can only take so much. That’s why I love to hear from those perfectly imperfect parents who go off-script, who embrace the crazy, who wing it – and whose kids turn out alright.

Sometimes it’s messy. But it can also be downright, side splitting-ly hilarious.

Today is the release day (!!!) of this very special anthology in which I have an essay featured. It’s called But Did You Die? and it’s the fifth installment in The New York Times bestselling I Just Want to Pee Alone series by Jen Mann. To say I am proud to be a part of this project and to have my essay in here alongside the funniest parents on the internet is a huge understatement.

But it’s here – and I’m giving away a free signed copy! If you love to laugh and if you love to hear messy, hysterical parenting stories, this book is for you. For fans of my blog who have followed me for a while, you will appreciate the fact that I managed to convey my father’s thick Italian accent in my essay (and if you are local to the Charlotte area stay tuned because I’m going to be doing a live reading and book signing on June 29).

I don’t have any fancy rules to enter-just simply like this post, and leave a comment why you want to read this book. Maybe even tell me one of your crazy parenting stories in a few sentences. That’s it! I’ll pick the winner of the free signed copy Wednesday of this week.

And if you want to skip over that and order a free copy or two right now (they make great gifts, especially in time for Father’s Day), you can order on Amazon here: But Did You Die? or for a signed copy you can send me an email at amacaluso29@gmail.com.

Something tells me you will love this book just as much as I do.
