Easy Ways to Halloween Your Home: A Slideshow

I’m going strictly pics for this post. These are the decorations for fall and Halloween around our home this year. (It’s amazing what a single bag of Spanish moss and some inexpensive party store items can do!) Check ’em out for some inspiration and ideas, and leave your own ideas in the comments!

a few farmer’s market pumpkins and a couple of leaf sprigs give the foyer a “fall” look

tuck some spanish moss into an arrangement

may your mantle be creepy (and not your co-workers). The tree came from Tj Maxx on clearance last year.

these little clip-on owls on the creepy tree were .50 each at a craft store.

tuck more moss into canisters, swirl leaves around the bottom.

this skeleton found a “resting place” in a candle holder…

creepy spider oriental trading

this guy came from Oriental Trading, last year’s purchase…I couldn’t help myself…$7! And he folds back up for easy storage 🙂

some dollar-store “skulls” find their way into a vase with potpourri

We purchased this wall piece to distract from the thermostat, which was placed in an awkward spot. Now it’s our favorite thing to change up with the seasons…

acorn garland

a $7 acorn garland adds a fall touch

dining room candle holder

this candle holder was a gift from my mom, from Kirklands. Another item that you can change up with the seasons with some seasonal sprigs…

the sprigs (“floral picks”) were $1.50 each at Garden Ridge. You can tuck a few of these guys into any corner in your home.

spider tealight holders, Tj Maxx on clearance (last year), farmer’s market fall bouquet, and a light up pumpkin, compliments of my mother-in-law 🙂

close up of the creepy crawlers…

and of course little Marcus, helping me out 🙂

Have any more ideas and tricks? Pass ’em on in the comments! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Okay, that’s it! You’re coming over and helping me spruce this place up Ali style! Love ALL the looks…I remember that spider scared the BOO out of me last time haha 😉 (Great job too Marcus!)

‘@Lori Sure Lori I’ll be right over!! 😉 My mother-in-law showed me the spanish moss, and how awesome it is – I love it! The bag was a few bucks at a crafts store, it works awesome and you can re-use it every year! We usually have a party every year, but we are not this year – for a very good reason: my best friend is getting married next weekend! But even with no party, it still didn’t stop me from decorating 😉

‘@rshin Love it, just say the word! You know I’m a freak for this stuff!

‘@Ali Mac

WORD! …seriously, you’re busy with the whole “I’m in every wedding in the north and southeast this year” rhing – but when you’re free one evening let me know! 🙂
