Drunk Decorating Guide, The Food Edition

It’s our third and final Drunk Decorating Guide, and this time we are decorating with food. Because it’s easy, cheap, and simple. Plus, it’s the Friday before Christmas, so if you’re looking for something quick to do to put you in the holiday spirit, it needs to be simple!

Drunk Decorating Guide, the Food Edition

Cranberry Candle Centerpiece

It doesn’t get more low-maintenance than this:

  • Step 1: Purchase a package of cranberries from the supermarket.
  • Step 2: Fill 3 bowls or glasses with the cranberries.
  • Step 3: Nestle a tea light candle to the center of the berries. Light the candle, and set it out on your table.

festive - and inexpensive - holiday decorating, with FOOD! Cranberries, tea light candles, and bowls from your cabinets.

A trick in decorating is the rule of odd numbers: things always look better in sets of 3, 5, or 7, etc. If you have a long table, and want to use this as a centerpiece, you could even line up 9, 11, or more down the center of the table. A no-fuss centerpiece that makes a big impact!

Cheeseball Snowman

You’ll probably have a lot of parties to go to this season, or maybe it’s just one or two. Either way, this is an appetizer you can make that will hit a home run every single time: it’s my “No-Cook, Snowman Cheese Spread”. And it will become the instant centerpiece of the party food table.

It’s one of the easiest things you can throw together and it is a definite crowd-pleaser! Also, your kids can make this while you sit on the couch with a savor the flavors of a nice Hot Toddy and failure as you scroll Pinterest and find all the other crafts and crap you couldn’t get done this year.
